Personality: On most occasions James is a very laid back, calm and collected young man. He's the type of person who will happily necessitate in a conversation with another but rarely starts such conversations off. James is generally a loner. He keeps himself to himself and seems to prefer it that way. Which, doesn't mean that he is completely anti social. He likes to converse but theres a limit he will not step over (he has far to much to hide about himself to make any real bonds).
Unfortunately one of James's major flaws is that he is very covetous. Once you've got on his bad side, its difficult if not impossible to get back into his good books. He can hold a grudge forever and for him..it's pretty much eternity. Another major problem James has is that he is extremely restitutive. He's the type of person who will go past arms length to get his revenge. The man will simply head to extremes to prevail.
Though most of his personality is built up by honor and rile. James has a much softer side. He is very caring toward most, loyal and excessively protective. If you happen to make a friend or Allie out of James. He will have your back no matter what. He prides himself on being typically mouthy. Saying and doing what others may not. To simply prove a point or prove the point that he has the capability of doing so and can also get away with it.
The young man is quit witted and sometimes very astute. Most state that he is a crafty weasel. That he can easily coax others perceptions simply by 'charming the pants' off of them. James has a very good way of wording things, if he wants something and its proven difficult to accomplish he often finds charm does the trick. Something he has a lot of.

History: James was born in Lynn, Massachusetts to Elizabeth and John Proctor on January 27th, 1693.
James's mother was Elizabeth Proctor (born 1652 in Lynn, Massachusetts) who was accused of witchcraft in the Salem Witch Trials. Her husband, John Proctor, was also one of the accused and later hung.
James's great grandmother Ann (Holland) Bassett Burt, was a Quaker and a midwife, who was brought up on charges of witchcraft in 1669. As she was not a doctor, but was successful at curing the sick, some people felt she could only have medical skills if she were a witch; one of those who testified against Ann was Phillip Read, a doctor. The Puritans felt there was something "witchlike" about Quakers. Some felt the stigma of being the granddaughter of someone thought to be a witch may have contributed to Elizabeth's persecution.
On August 2, 1692, the court met in Salem to discuss the fate of John and Elizabeth and several others. At some point during this time, John rewrote his will, but he did not include Elizabeth. In spite of the petitions and testimonies from friends, both John and Elizabeth were found guilty, and were sentenced to death on August 5, 1692. Elizabeth, who was pregnant at the time, was granted a stay of execution until after the birth of the baby. John tried to postpone his execution, but failed. On August 19, 1692, John was executed. Elizabeth remained in jail. Action was eventually taken on the petition that John had filed to save his life and that of Elizabeth, but it was too late for John.
In January 1693, several hundred people were still in prison awaiting trial. On January 27, while still in prison, Elizabeth gave birth to a son whom she named James. For some reason, Elizabeth was not executed as the court had ordered.
In May 1693, the girls began to accuse the wife of Governor of Massachusetts Phips. The Governor, believing that people were being wrongly convicted without hard evidence, ordered 153 people set free. Elizabeth was among this general release of prisoners. Before she was released, her family was required to pay her prison fees. At this time, families were required to pay for their family members and board while in jail, as well as the cost of their executions.
Though Elizabeth was free, the ordeal was not over for her, for in the eyes of the law, she had been convicted as a witch. Although the law stated that possessions would be seized when someone was convicted, the Proctors' possessions were confiscated long before their trials, and Elizabeth could not claim any of John's property, some of which had been salvaged by this time. She could not regain her dowry, because legally, she no longer existed. Elizabeth petitioned the General Court for reversal of attainder to restore her legal rights. No action was taken for seven years, even though it was now widely accepted that innocent people had been wrongly convicted.
On April 19, 1697, the probate court at Salem ordered the Proctor heirs to give Elizabeth her dowry. The public demanded that the courts apologize, and a written apology was issued on March 18, 1702.
On September 22, 1699, when James was at the tender age of 6. Elizabeth married her second husband, Daniel Richards, in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Eversince James could remember, he had a distaste toward Daniel. At first he felt that it was purely down to the fact that this man had attempted to fill in his real father's shoes. However, as time went on and James got older..he began to realise the true nature behind his loathing.
Strange things began to occur. People who got close to his mother would suddenly grow sick, some suffering long term before death and others instant over a short few days. One October evening when James was 12 years old his mother had sent him to bed.
The young boy was soon awaken by perculier sounds. Bumping and mumbled talk. His mother at the time had gone out leaving himself and Daniel alone. James shortly discovered the cause of such noises. His step father was down in the basement and upon further inspection..was not alone.
To his horror it appeared that his mother actually hadnt gone out, in fact she was in the basement with Daniel. Dead. The young man could not conceal his outrage and made an attack upon his step father. But, Daniel was different. So strong. He simply batted young James aside. His eyes as black as night. Truly un human.
The next thing he knew. Darkness. When he awoke Daniel was no where to be found. His mothers bloody corpse lay upon the floor boards for several days. The young man unsure of what to do with himself, became a hermit and saught refuge in his home awaiting for the demon to return..he never did.
A week went by and the stench of death began to linger in the home. Drawing unwanted attention. The evening of October 20th, 10 days after his mothers murder. James finally discarded of her body. Burying it in the backwoods located just beyond his home. But, he was discovered digging the shallow grave by patrol men (police). The young man was now on the run.
Young. Alone and with no where to go James found himself stumbling upon a magic practitioner. The man spoke of dark magic and vengence. He offered to help James in his bid for escape and revenge upon Daniel..but at a cost. James was to sell his soul.
A hard bargain to make but the young man he had nothing more to lose. Only to gain and so after much thought..he agreed. The young man was granted great power and immortality in exchange for his soul. The other catch (as there always is one) was that young Proctor would work for a higher power. A vigilante (if you will) doing deeds and ridding those unworthy of life.

Being Human
The crispness filled his nostrils as he breathed the fresh air in through his nose. Although the sun shone brightly a light cold breeze approached, Robert clutched his coat tightly to his chest. Making his way carefully through the park, thoughts swirled rapidly through his head. Robert fished through the pockets of his coat and removed a pack of cigarettes as well as a lighter. Removing a single cigarette, he returned the pack to his pocket and placed the remaining one in between his lips. Quickly, Robert took the lighter in one hand and cupped his other around the flame allowing the cigarette to light. Inhaling deeply, He allowed the smoke to enter his lungs and stay there for a moment before exhaling.
Although he new it was detrimental to his health, Rob couldn't resit; it was a bad habit he picked up when he was younger. He knew would eventually have to quit, it was just a matter of time before he got around to it. In the meantime though, it allowed him to concentrate and relieve stress. Placing his head in his hand, Robert closed his eyes and let out a heavy sigh. It was then that Robert allowed his mind to wander and his eyes to shortly follow.
Sat under a tree was some blonde girl, it wasnt the striking beauty of her that caught his eye it was more to the fact she appeared to be talking to herself. Raising a brow he let the ciggarette hang from his lips as he watched her. It wasnt an obvious stare as he didnt wish to be accused of acting like some kind of perv.
