"Not much really. I'm not working right now, well not really. I guess you could say i was kind of lazy. You know a real..drag down upon society"
Sidney forced a small laugh to accompany his, yep, drag down on society, got that right... "Well, why not, it's not like anyone really gives a shit, right?" she said, outwardly agreeing with him, or supporting him at least...
"What about you Sidney?"
Hmm well, what should she say on the matter? it wasn't like it really mattered whether she was up front and truthful or not, since he wasn't about to remember it... "Well..." She started as they turned a corner. She was finding it hard to resist him as they walked side by side. One kiss wouldn't hurt would it? Well it would if he bit her.. But then she would definately stake him. She inwardly rolled her eyes at herself. Sid never normally succombed to the Vampires charms to this excent. Perhaps he wasn't a Vamp after all?
She turned her head and glanced up at him before she continued... Jesus. Thats it... "I- Who cares?" She stepped infront of Nate, facing him, grabbing his shirt, she pulled him towards her, crashing her lips into his. Well this was a first. What was she doing?! Breaking the kiss, quite forcefully, it took quite a lot of will on her part to tear herself away, "I know what you are yaknow.." She said with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. Now she was playing with him, what would he do now? Run? Attack? Kiss her back? wait, scratch that last one... Either way, she would dust him only moments after he made his choice...

Nathaniel watched her awaiting an answer. He had definitely expected her to have some interesting tales, she seemed like the wild type. Maybe the type to travel, you couldnt tell by looking right at her just making a pressumption from her behaviour.
"Well..." She began.
The pair turned a corner onto the next street. He could practically see his has from where they were both stood at the time. After walking around the corner they soon came to a halt on the edge of the street. Sidney still had yet to answer him.
"I- Who cares?"
Nate rose a brow. Well he obviously did cause he asked but okay? he looked confused but then soon figured out what was going on. The brunette side stepped infront of him, stopping and looking right at him. He found himself turning his head to the side somewhat watching her from the corner of his eyes.
The next thing he knew she had her lips fiercely against his own. The young man barely had any time to react due to the fact it was over as quick as it had happened.
Keeping his head bowed down to the level where shed pulled him, Nathaniel continued to watch her. He hadnt quite expected that to come so quickly. Though she had been flirting with him for most of the time spent, he figured she was the teasing type. Boy, he seemed to be wrong.
"I know what you are yaknow.." she smirked.
Nate looked slightly cautious now. Forcing a smile he cocked his head to the side raising his own brow. Nathan kept the closeness of there faces and watched her expression as he finally questioned "And what is that?" he asked curious his tone soft and smooth once more. Maybe she had already figured it out and if she had why was she still standing there?

"And what is that?"
Wait, what? A question? That was unexpected. Why wasn't he running or attacking yet? He'd been busted and he was now standing there asking her to spell it out for him. She narrowed her eyes slightly as she continued to gaze into his eyes. Alright, enough messing around now. Get the job, done. Their faces were only centimetres apart and Sidney moved her body that bit closer to his, so they were flush against one another. "You want to know what I do?" She asked in a whisper, closing the gap between them, she kissed him once, lightly on the lips, sort of a weird goodbye kiss in a way...
"I kill things like you.." She said quietly, yet in an overly sweet voice. Before she ripped the stake from within her jacket and plunged it towards her target, Nate's stone cold heart...

"You want to know what I do?" She asked in a whisper.
Nate kept his eyes locked onto her, tilting his head with curiosity as she whispered toward him. There it was again, she kissed him but this time it was different. Gentle and rushed as if she had to be somewhere. Like it was some kind of goodbye. As she parted again he continued to watch her cautiously, like a hawk. Something wasnt right here, it wasnt right at all.
"I kill things like you.." She stated bluntly.
Before he knew it she'd stuffed her hand into her jacket, ripped out a stake and directed it right for his chest. Lucky his damn reflexes were top notch. Lifting his hand upward he managed to grab her wrist as it stopped inches before his chest.
Glancing down at her hand he slowly lifted his head. Allowing his eyes to meet hers again "You're smart girl. I'll give you that, thing is you're also really stupid. If i had any intentions of killing you..you'd be dead already. Did no one ever teach you not to talk to strangers?.." he asked with a serious look. Nate kept grip of her wrist, tightly, yeah he wasnt going to let her stake him. Of course not. He wasnt going to kill her either.
[lmao uh oh spagettios thats awesome]

Damnit. Idiot. Her features curled into a scowl as he grabbed her wrist, tightly. She wasn't quick enough, and she'd let her damned feeling overshadow her true agenda. She kept trying to force her arm down, trying with all her might to peirce his heart with that stake in her fist... It began shaking with the effort, though she knew damn well that she was no match for his enhanced, vampiric strength... Her eyes skitted down, taking in her hand, the stake and his iron grip on her wrist. This was notpart of the plan... Her eyes flickered back up to meet his, as he spoke up, "You're smart girl. I'll give you that, thing is you're also really stupid. If i had any intentions of killing you..you'd be dead already. Did no one ever teach you not to talk to strangers?.." Sidney tilted her head and rolled her eyes at the vampire, "You're not even going to try are you?" She smirked, taunting him. Challanging him to try to hurt her, to kill her. For a few moments they were frozen in time, poised in that moment, neither making any movement, except for the trembling of her wrist... But eventually, she had had enough. Even though she was no match for his strength, she was still unusually strong for a girl of her proportions. Looking at her, she was petite, fairly small considering her profession and of course, a girl. But she packed a punch and even if he could out run and punch her, it would shock his enough for her to get the upper hand... With one more glance to her hand with the stake and then back to his face, "Lets see you fangs," She smirked before she made her move, dropping the stake and simultanious wrenching her hand from his grasp, punching him in the face, she continued with the motion to spin around and catch the falling stake in her left hand in one smooth movement. Time for staking this son of a bitch take two. Quickly passing the stake from her left to her right hand, she took another swipe at the vampires chest... tag: Nathaniel words: 402 comments:

"You're not even going to try are you?" Sidney taunted at him.
God, he hated when they did that. Here he was being the nice guy, not popping a vein and drinking her dry and all she cared about was efforts. How ungrateful. Rolling his eyes he shook his head at her, speaking calmly "Nope, I'm not" he replied with an unimpressed tone.
Nate continued to watch her. He was actually very very offended. Just because he was a vampire, had fangs and a lust for blood didn't mean he was about to make her his happy meal. In fact the young man couldn't actually remember the last time he had 'chowed down' on another person, well a little playful biting here and there but nothing major.
"Lets see you fangs," She smirked and made her move.
Sidney dropped the stake from her hand and hastily pulled out of his grasp. Nathaniel took a quick and unexpected blow to the face which sent his head spinning to the left side of his body, man she packed a punch.
Wincing he bought his hand to his jaw. A loud click and he'd popped it back into place. Grimacing he turned his eyes toward Sidney just in time to view her taking another swipe for his chest. Persistence was something you had to really respect, however..this wasn't necessary.
Nathaniel jumped backward out of her range and narrowly missing the sharp end of her stake. Growling through his teeth he furrowed a heavy brow at her "I don't want to hurt you. Perhaps, you need a time out." stepping his left foot forward. His right followed and kicked out at her. He didn't kick hard, just a nudge at her chest to knock her on her back.
As the brunette stumbled back Nathaniel dived on top of her. With his knees on either side of her now, he kept her on the floor underneath him. Without a second thought he tore the stake from her hand and rolled it along the ground away from her reach.
With one swipe he beat both her hands down and pinned them to the floor above her head. He showed no emotion on his face at all. Cocking his head slowly to the left again he remained his eyes on her as if he was attempting to look carefully through into her head. He could understand what she thought, he was a vampire after all and from what he knew they rarely had good reputations and weren't generally friendly people person types. And of course he wasn't a people person but he didn't go around eating them either.
Nathaniel let loose on her wrist with his right hand. Making sure to replace the grip with the left that already had her first wrist tight. He was strong enough to hold her with one hand anyway. Trailing his hand down her arm, he gently caressed his hand over her shoulder stopping just under her chin. With a slight nudge he pushed her head back and slowly pressed his lips against hers.

As she heard him click his jaw back into place she breifly revelled in an inner success over the good connection. However her victory was short lived, when he managed to dodge her next attack and staking attempt number two was her second failure of the evening. Thats annoying... She didn't like failing and didn't make it a habit of hers...
"I don't want to hurt you. Perhaps, you need a time out."
A time out? what was she? twelve? Sidney rolled her eyes and resumed a fighting stance, "I think you need a perminent time o-ugh!" And then she was falling. Her back hit the floor hard and she felt a stabbing pain along her spine as the air was forced from her lungs...
Wincing, she frowned, suddenly realising that Nate was on top of her, holding her down. She struggled but he pinned her arms above her head and all she could do, was lay there, practically at his mercy... She could hear the quiet rattling sound of the stake as it rolled away from her hand... This is bad... Sidney wasn't afraid of dying, not really. But she was afraid of being turned. Becoming one of them. A soul-less, cold, ruthless and bloodthirsty creature that knew nothing of morality or human worth...
That was her fear as she stared up into his eyes and he stared right back down to hers... His features were emotionless and she was certain that this was it. He was going to bite her, maybe he would just kill her now, or maybe he would turn her into one of his kind...
Her breath trembled as she stared at him, the only sign that she was in any way afraid. God she was going to need a cig if she got out of this one in one piece... He released her right wrist, and she once again, struggled against him, trying to struggle free, but he held her fast, even one handed he was strong enough to hold both her arms down... She hated feeling like this, vulnerable, out of control. It wasn't her and she had never let herself get in this situation before. Never. What was so different this time? and Why?! Why? didn't she stake him as soon as she had the chance?
She felt his hand, slowly move down her arm and across to her shoulder, all the time she stared into his eyes. She would face her death head on, she would never hinde from it. Why she had these rediculous morals and sense of honor she didn't know, perhaps it was something that had rubbed off on her since her gang days... But now wasn't the time for pondering such things...
And then he kissed her. He closed the gap between their lips and tilted her head before he, kissed her... And soon she found herself responding to his advance and kissing him back. When he parted from her lips she opened her eyes once more, "What are you doing?" She asked quietly.

Nathaniel only allowed his kiss to linger for a few moments. However, he became pleasantly surprised by the womans reaction in return of his advances. She'd gone and kissed him right back, just like before only this time maybe there was no actual alterior motive behind it.
Leaving the kiss to linger for a few moments longer he eventually parted his cold lips from her's. Inching back slightly he watched her as she spoke again. This time the attitude had completely disapated into the air along with her desire to grab that damn stake and wedge it deep into his chest.
"What are you doing?" She asked quietly.
Eventually he loosened his grip on her other wrist but did the same as the previous arm. Allowing his cold hand to simply trail along the inner side of her arm before letting his hand rest against her face. Dropping his head down to her again he responded "I'm not hurting you.." shared Nate with a light smirk. He told her he wasnt going to attack her, he really wasnt like that. Well he wasnt not incapable of harming another but he tried not to. Unless they deserved it but then it never included biting them or drinking them dry. Just a harmless scrap and a mental scar for the poor beggers.
He opted not to move from his spot above her, just incase she got crazy again "If i let you up. You're not gonna try poke me with your stick again are ya?" he questioned her wanting the honest answer. He wouldnt be offended, okay maybe he would but he'd rather she tell him then catch him off guard again.
"I guess i could always keep you pinned, you dont seem to be complainin too much about that.." he flashed another cheeky grin "Though, it cant be comfty down there....right?" scrunching the end of his nose up he finally sat up resting on his knees again. With his left knee rising first shortly followed by his right he stood up again.
Extending his hand down to Sidney he awaited for her reaction.

Sidney was at a loss. What was happening? This Vampire had pinned her there, he had her well within his grasp, he could have killed her there and then and there would be practically nothing thatshe could do to stop it. Well, of course she would try, she wouldn't just give up without a fight, but ultimately, her only weapon was surprise, and she lost that two attempts ago... Now she was just another potential victim, pinned to the freaking floor and he chose instead of feeding on her blood, to kiss her?
And now he was there, telling her that he wasn't about to hurt her, and smirking about that fact. Sid remained quiet, just eyeing the guy, trying to work out his agenda... But she was finding it hard when he had his hand touching her face...
"If i let you up. You're not gonna try poke me with your stick again are ya?"
Sidney took a moment to decide on her answer, "..No" She lied... Well she would reserve judgment on whether to try for staking attempt number three on what happened after he let her go... Finally, her released her arms completely, the icey cold feeling, lingering for a moment.
"I guess i could always keep you pinned, you dont seem to be complainin too much about that.. Though, it cant be comfty down there....right?"
Her eyes followed him, as he got to his feet, leaving her on her floor, pretty much stunned by the whole situation and how it was turning out... Bringing her hands to her sides, Sidney pushed herself upto a sitting position, all the while eyeing the vampire wearily, before she eventually got to her feet, dusting herself down...
"Well... We have a situation." She said, backing up to the wall and digging around in her pocket for her cigarettes. After pulling out the crumpled packet she opened it to find that during the struggle, her remaining ciggy was now mulch and pointless to try to salvage... With an aggrivated snarl, Sidney threw the worthless packet to the ground, leaning back on the wall and gazing across at Nate. "I need to kill you yaknow.." She said plainly, really wishing she had a cigarette at that moment...

"Well... We have a situation." She said.
Nathaniel stood in the same spot where he had arose. Bringing his hands to his pockets he gave a smug grin in her direction "How so?" the young man questioned cocking his head again.
She seemed fraustrated and dug her hands into her pockets looking for her cigs. When she finally obtained the box Nate viewed the battered state which also caused the cancer sticks to be damaged. Likely from him knocking her on her arse.
Watching the anger rise as she tossed the box to the ground he hastily dug into his own pocket. Pulling the cigs from inside his jacket he slowly walked over to her. Nodding lightly he extended the pack for her to take.
"I need to kill you yaknow.." She said plainly.
He remained holding the box out for her to take. Nathaniel kept a slight distance back now, just incase she went nuts again. But, his eyes glued to her like honey on bees. When she took the box he dropped his arms to his sides and never took his eyes off her for a moment.
"I know" he responded softly "But you wont.." Nathaniel hadnt sounded cocky this time. He was confident she wouldnt of course he was, the way it had panned out she didnt want to kill him. She had no reason.
With a sigh he pushed his own back against that very wall and glanced aside toward her where she stood.

Sidney watched as Nate approached her, and then offered her his ciggies. She eyed them for a moment, before reaching out and taking them from him. She quickly opened the packet and removed a cigarette, placing it between her lips as she dug around in her pocket once more, bringing out her lighter, which she cupped around the end of the cig in her mouth as she lit it,breathing in deeply, the end of the white stick glowed brightly...
Removing the cigarette as she exhaled the smoke, Sidney turned her head to the side, noting the Nate was watching her... She offered the packet back to him, but she didn't bother saying thankyou...
Returning her gaze ahead of her, she took another long drag, "I know... But you wont.." A small smirk lingered across her lips, before she turned on her side, resting her shoulder against the wall, she took another drag and narrowed her eyes at him, ingregued. Sidney had never actually held a conversation with a Vampire that extended past they, 'Hey, you wanna get outta here?'...
She exhaled the cigarette fumes, the crahed ciggy, resting between her fingers as she brushed a strand of hair from her face with her thumb... "How can you be so sure?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Glanced back towards the direction they had originally been heading, she added, "So, your place? then?" She smirked.

Nathaniel kept his head to the side of him, watching her. Moving his eyes from her face downward scanning every inch of her. You'd have never thought someone looking the way she did would turn out to be so fiesty, to have knowledge of creatures and carry weapons around ready to attack. Though he gathered that was part of the act. A girl like that could get anything she wanted..it was perfect.
"How can you be so sure?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Letting out a light chuckle he rest his head against the wall "You tried to kill me. I pinned you down. I kissed and you kissed me back" rolling his head in her direction he narrowed his eyes with a cheeky grin "Call me crazy, but to me that doesnt seem the intentions of someone who wants to do harm..just pointing that out. Only i could be wrong..but i doubt it" still grinning he pushed himself from the wall.
"So, your place? then?" She smirked.
He stood facing her now and slowly began to back up. There was a huge smile painted on his face, beaming from ear to ear. Saying nothing he spun on his heel and casually wavered his hand behind him for her to follow.

Well,well... He thought he had her all figured out didn't he... Sidney pondered his words for a moment as she popped the cigarette between her lips once more and breathed in. "Thats a nice theory." She said, whilest blowing out the grey whispy smoke, which then quickly dispursed into the wind...
Why exactly did she do that? She pondered to herself as she made reference to his place. She watched him push off from the wall and beginning his walk towards his pad, looking like the cat who had got the creame... Sidney, however, didn't immediately follow. Sucking in another deep breath, sidney nudged herself from the wall and began to follow the young vampire. young... She wondered breifly how old he really was. Had he been turned recently? or was he centuries old? Rubbing her hands together, the friction heating them up some, she swiftly caught up with Nate as he headed the final few yards towards his home.
Finally upon reaching the door, Sid turned to face Nate, slipping between him and the door as he went to open it. "So Nate, you like, a veggie or something?" She asked with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.

Nathaniel took a small glance over his shoulder to see if she was following, and sure enough she was. A smirk lingered on his face as he continued to move surely toward his home. Well, this had surely took an unexpected twist, she was all set to..well likely jump his bones back at the bar and then had made an attempt on him. Now, she was following him back to his place. He wasnt sure of her full intentions right now but one thing he was sure of, was that she certainly was attracted to him, maybe more then she wanted to be and he could hardly deny it himself.
Digging his hands into his pockets he searched for his keys. Finally locating the front door key he pulled it out. Extending his hand he placed the kay in the hole but stopped from turning when she popped up again. Sidney stood there between Nate and the door. Man she was driving him crazy right now, but not in the crazy want to rip your face off crazy.
"So Nate, you like, a veggie or something?"
With a broad smile he dropped his head and eyes downward upon her as she stood there before him. Gently leaning forward he pushed his face in close range of her's he was teasing her now, just like she was. Turning the key lightly in the lock he heard it click then responded "or something.." he simply stated not answering entirely. Keeping his face close upto her's he continued to stare into her eyes.
His hand moved to the handle, turned and pushed against the door forcing it open behind her. With a grin he stood upright once more, kept his eyes on her as he side stepped the girl and headed inside. His place was normal, tidy being the main thing, a place for everything and everything in its place. The home was decorated in neutral colour, furnished with mostly dark wood and leather a modern but classy feel to it. Dropping the keys on the side table Nate began to take his coat off. Steppinginto the lounge he tossed his jacket onto the chair nearest to the door.
"You want another drink?" he asked her swanning off through the lounge and into the kitchen.

She stood there, having asked him a question. He looked down at her, moving towards her as though he might kiss her again... Not that Sidney would have objected to such a move... Damnit he was messing with her mind. She needed to focus, but her actions were just ignoring her brain that told her to, get back to work...
Suddenly she heard a 'click'of the door unlocking, her eyes shifted from his, to his lips, though instead of meeting with hers, he spoke, "or something.." and with that he opened the door behind her and stepped inside... so hes playing a game... She mused with a smirk as she gazed out unmoving for a moment, before she took one last drag from her cigarette, flicked the butt onto the pavement, turned and followed him inside the house...
Gazing around, this was the second durprise of the evening. Everything was tidy and minimal. It contrasted the notion that Vampires were uncivilised monsters, but then, Sidney was proof in herself that looks could be deceiving...
She slowly made her way through the entrance hall, taking in everything in her surroundings, following the path that Nate had taken into the lounge, where he had discarded his jacket before heading off into the kitchen, "You want another drink?"
"Sure." She replied as she stepped into the lounge area. As she looked around the room it sort of reminded her of her old life, with her parents in their well decorated home in the city, the leather sofa was similar, only theirs was a cream colour while nates was much darker... But she guessed styles changed. Not that she knew much about decorating homes. The only interiors she'd seen since absconding from the city, were motel rooms... And they all looked the same, dank, dreary and generally miserable looking...
She sighed a little, now thinking of her second family, and that image of their bodies flashed into her mind, just for the breifest of seconds, and in that moment, she remembered the urgeshe had to kill everything unnatural on this earth...
Squeezing her eyes shut, ridding the thoughts and feelings from her mind, she opened them again to see Nate's jacket on the sofa. Hesitation... That was odd... Sidney was not accustomed to hesitating. Her life usually was made up of split second decisions and there was just no room for hesitation and survival...
Slowly she removed her jacket, throwing it nonchalently ontop of his. She felt slightly unarmed, but of course she had other weapons hidden on her person. She hadn't completely lost her mind by following a vampire lair home...
Stepping across the room she leisurely sat down onto the sofa, crossing her left leg over her right and spreading her resting her arms at her sides. Her stance oozed confidence and she waited for her host to return with a drink...
