"Of course they are still here, it's their house god dammit..." said Lawrence as he saw the kid scaring the girl and she broke the salt circle. Freaking great, the one thing he told her not to do and she went on and did it first chance she got. "Burn the remains is what I need" he said grumpily and he knew what was going to be her next question, but before that he needed to take the kid of her back.
Grabbing an iron fire handler from the chimney he took a swing at the kid making him disappear. He then turned trying to see if another attack was coming their way, didn't look so right now. He got her up as fast as he could. "Make another damn circle! I don' know where their freakin' bodies are yet"
He hadn't had the time to search the whole house yet. "Here, if ya feel like ya must make a run for it, grab this iron fire thin' and try to aim for the head" said Lawrence to the girl. He knew it was her first time, but honestly what did she know about hunting? Nothing, if she left the circle she would be murdered horribly.
"Don' leave the circle though, it doesn' matter what ya think ya can do, but these thin's are stron' and they ain't playin' no games" said Lawrence to her. "Stay here"
With that he turned and started walking to the second floor, he needed something to tell him where to go now, hopefully the ghosts wouldn't appear for a while now that he had scared them off with the iron and salt.
His last chance was the little girl, he hoped there was a ghost of her too, she commited suicide so hopefully she wouldn't be as aggressive as the other ghosts and could maybe even help him send them all away.

Though she was grateful for Lawrence’s help, truthfully he’d just saved her life to an extent she believed though would not admit it, she did not stop herself in showing her irritation of his attitude. Come on! It wasn’t her fault he’d brought her here! He hadn’t needed to offer. In fact he could have just left her to shout some name after him in the street and both went about their own strange business alone. Chloe opened her mouth to question him on the remains of the dead but he beat her to speaking only annoying her more. “Okay! It wasn’t like I intentionally broke that one! It’s not exactly super salt that stays in place for all those ghostly encounters!” she shot back sarcastically as she stood up from the floor but hesitated in making a circle. “You don’t know –“ she huffed a sigh mumbling silently under her breath something about being unprepared and wandering into a haunted house with little knowledge of important factors.
Taking the iron poker off of him she restored her circle of salt standing within it again, for now at least. Chloe would be the first to admit she was no experienced hunter and had little knowledge of the paranormal but she hated being underestimated. She was a quick learner and when she life depended on it she was sure she could put up a good fight. The girl was proud but she also had common sense and wasn’t about to leave the circle unless necessary, she’d seen those ghosts with her own hazel eyes, they were capable or more than she ever expected of a dead glimmer of light. “Wait! You’re just going to leave me standing here!” too late, he just had.
Brilliant. Left alone in a salt circle in the middle of a creepy living room, surrounded by a less than a Casper-like family of ghosts, armed only with an old fashioned Iron poker and with no back up...wonderful. Could things really get any better right now? Heart pounded faster. Chloe stopped rigid. Not another one. Please, please, please not another one. She flicked her gaze to the side, another one. A young girl; she was so young, she’d seen her family die, moved them, committed suicide...Chloe watched her readying her iron poker waiting to strike hoping that striking from the inside of the circle wouldn’t mean anything could then get in, it wasn’t a door right? A dart of sadness chilled Chloe’s heart, a sharp intake of breath followed as she watched the young girl fearfully. Suddenly all words escaped her, see Lawrence shouldn’t have left her to stand terrified on her own. The blonde stood on the spot, terrified, upset, confused, hurt, worried...these weren’t all her feelings. She scanned the room, what was she perceiving to feel like this? Still denying the truth of her situation and looking for the logic that wouldn’t exist. “I...I...” her voice quivered as she tried to regain control of herself, “I can help you. You don’t have to stay here and fell like this...you don’t have to be scared anymore” Chloe’s voice was quiet and warm as she lowered her weapon slightly though still keeping a good grip as she bent down a little, eyes focused on the child. “Can you show me where your mommy and daddy are?” she continued softly not wanting to scare the girl any more than she was but something else had spooked the young girl. “Please sweetheart. I promise everything will be alright” she pleaded some to the ghost who turned and looked directly to the back of the house, something scared her back there, something had happened. There was something secret...explainable no, logical how she knew no, but she knew somehow...maybe it was a ghostly thing?
The ghost girl looked more fearful and Chloe felt it around them, “Wait!” she called, arm outstretched towards her, but the girl was gone. Pressing her lips together she scanned the room, it was deadly silent. Stay here and hope and wait Lawrence returned or run off after him. Chloe pivoted on the spot in her circle. Ah, there was no difference in outcome, either the ghosts would kill her or Lawrence would. Stepping deliberately across the threshold the blonde rushed frantically to the doorway and started up the stairs. On the landing she seen the living man and the dead one appearing behind. “Hey!” Chloe yelled at the ghost without thinking of what she was doing or shouting at the dead person for. Expecting no vocal response she swung her iron poker at him causing him to vanish yet again. Breathing was shallow and short from panic, she actually wanted to be back in her circle, outside of it involved both the ghosts and Lawrence, shit. “Yes! I know! Stay in the circle! Follow the rules! Whatever. Not happening, circle doesn’t want me in it! I know where the bodies are!...I think” she thought she did anyways. How she knew she was still leaving unanswered; she’d felt it, felt the girl’s fear, felt the attraction to that area of the house, it was darker, ominous, it scared her, she wasn’t checking it out alone.
