RULES
Registering
You can register with any name you like, however once your character application has been approved, please change your display name to that of your character! This stops any confusion. Also, we dont mind you having multiple characters as long as you can keep them all active but please make one account per character.
Applying
Please finish your Application within one week of registering. If you have any problems with that then contact a member of staff to let them know. Only register if you are going to stay. Please don't register and then don't return, it's extremely annoying and running from the crime scene isnt nice.
You application is like an audition so try fill it out to the best of your ability. We don't expect every application to be a work of art but we would like to have a good idea of what your character is like and why they're like that from their application. Take your time and dont rush it and we're sure you'll submit a good application!
Character play by's must be real people. It gives us a better view of what your character looks like. Please dont use random google search people, make sure you know their name whether they're an actor, musician, singer or youtube sensation. As long as their a living breathing person with a name we're not too picky.
Graphics
Everyone needs a 100x100 pixel avatar of their character. If your unable to make one yourself then PM the admins who'll be happy to help you out, we don't bite, honest!
We always love seeing pretty signatures too but these are not compulsary. We do ask, however, that you don't stretch the page, they may look nice but having to scroll down half a page of graphics can again be annoying. The maximum size is 500x300 pixels.
Activity
We understand people have real lives outside that of roleplay, however, to keep the board active we ask that you log in at least once a week unless you have posted your absence in the board provided in the OOC section of the site.
If a member has not noted us of their absence and has not logged in for some time we will send out a few warning emails and if no contact is made eventually moving their character to the archives or deleting them. WE DO NOT FIND IT AMUSING DOING THIS, we hate having to portray the mean admin side so please try to stay active to avoid this and dont leave other peoples characters at a stand still.
Characters
We do not have a character limit and welcome those who create multiple characters. We do ask that you are able to keep all these characters active. If you dont want to keep a character anymore then you can kill them off, put them up for adoption, or whatever, just remember to inform an admin of your choice. Also, please try to have a mixture of male and female characters if you are creating many. We don't want the site over run by lots of female characters and only a few guys.
RolePlaying
Minimum word count of 150 words please! This is a low figure and expect most posts to exceed this, we know that sometimes this cant be helped on museless days but please do try. Small posts often make it difficult for others to respond so consider the five senses while posting and you'll reach way over 150 words without even noticing it.
We will keep an eye out for those who persistantly post below this word count so try to keep creative!
Chat Box
We all love the chat box! But please keep to the rules within the box or we may be force to delete it. There have been sites suffered in the past because of psycho drama so if you have any issues with people on the site please contact an admin or work this out in PMs or IMs.
Please do take advantage of the cbox to discuss plots, roleplay, arrange threads, ask questions and generally talk to each other out of character.
In character chat is something that often takes place in cbox, however, for those who don't want their questions to be lost in a jumble of 'X holds Ys hand' then please keep this to the IC chat room located within the RP Time! board. We understand IC chat can help with character advancement and future plots but please please please do not live in the IC chat or Cbox! This is not an rp chat room, rp for the most part belongs in threads which lets be honest, are so much better for complex and descriptive rp!
Site Rating
This site is rated as Mature. Regardless, we dont expect to see every other word being a swear word, there is a time and a place for that, especially if it doesn't relate to your character's personality.
Also, if your character is getting rather frisky on the dancefloor then please mark your thread with an 'M' to make members aware of this. We dont want our younger members having their innocent eyes corrupted by accident do we?
Please don't go over the top, we don't want the site being deleted because of inappropriatness but we will leave that to you. We're pretty sure most people understand where the limits are and what 'too far' means.
Advertising
Advertising is welcome on this site but please only do so in the board provided for this in the OOC area. This includes ads in signatures or tags in any posts. This is rude and inconsiderate to the admins of this site. We wouldn't do it on your site so we don't expect you to do it on ours.
We do hope you can follow these simple rules to keep this site active and friendly! If you have any questions don't hesitate in contacting a member of staff, we're always happy to help you out!
